Where are they now? The Red Lion, Twickenham

red lion twickenhamThe Red Lion was the venue for our fundraiser in June 2007. It has been a music venue in Twickenham for over 30 years hosting musicians including well-known names such as Chris Farlowe as well as up-and-coming local bands.

Sunday afternoons saw the weekly “Jam” compered by Dave McGeachie. So what is going on at the Red Lion these days? Sadly, not a lot as the current owners have put it up for sale. At the moment it is boarded up and there is a rumour that Tesco are interested in buying it. The good news is that the Sunday Afternoon Jam is now being held at The Tup, another local pub; so all is not lost!
