Our motivation for forming the Board was to:
- Acknowledge those who have inspired The African Pulse during the past three years it has been working in South Africa;
- Consolidate existing relationships with those who have shown a genuine desire to see the project and charity succeed;
- Harness the power of experts on a regular basis;
- Secure a semi-formal sound board for sharing ideas and concerns and supporting the core team and trustees in any strategic decision making;
- Expand the network, resources, and reputation of the charity.
The role of the Board includes;
- Ensuring The African Pulse remains true to its vision, mission and objectives as the charity grows - adopting a watchdog stance to protect the reputation and effectiveness of the charity and its projects;
- Advising The African Pulse when the project needs to make critical decisions on specific projects or in development of the charity;
- Enhancing the relevance of The African Pulse’s products and services;
- Providing a unique and important link to all potential beneficiaries of the charity to enhance the relationship The African Pulse can have with a wider community.
